December 2012  Buddy Skate   Dix Hills Ice Arena

Buddy Skate was set for December 2010 but the snow had its own schedule and we were forced to moved the date to Feb 2011.

BUDDY SKATE 2007-08

On Sunday December 30th the Long Island Rebels and the Dix Hills Ice Rink hosted students and staff from the Genesis School for Autistic Children. Players and families from the Long Island Rebels (7 teams), Long Island Royals Midget 16 team , and the Long Island Junior Royals team, donated time and holiday treats to make it a great event. The ice rink was filled with hockey jerseys and smiles all around. Genesis students, families, staff and volunteers all had a great time.

Our thanks go out to the students and staff of the Genesis School for giving us the opportunity to work with them, the Dix Hills Ice Rink for their sponsorship, and the players, parents and coaches for making this a memorable event.
